2009 marked the first year of our community partnership with Katimavik. These extraordinarily gifted young adults aged 17-21 are from across Canada. For a portion of their 9 month Katimavik program, they lend their unpaid work to our programming, simultaneously dispelling the clichés which have previously defined their knowledge of the Downtown Eastside. They are intelligent, committed and caring, and have created lifetime friendships in the community. If you or someone you know is in the Katimavik age group, we urge you to consider applying to their program.
